My approach to birth prep stems from a training as a hypnobirthing and breastfeeding practitioner along with my lived experience giving birth to my 2 beautiful children. I will help you and your birth partner to uncover and move through any fears surrounding labour and birth, give you both ways to cope during labour and help you feel prepared for the unexpected. This course is all about building trust in your own body and in your birth partner so you can go into labour feeling confident and safe. If you want to feel calm, prepared and informed about labour then this is the course for you.
Hypnobirthing is essentially the practice of deep relaxation. Once we are relaxed, we can let our heads move out of the way and let our bodies do what they were designed to do. When we are worried, anxious or tense during labour, our muscles cannot move in the way they are intended to which can cause pain and slower progress. Learning tools to work with your body rather than against it can help you feel more relaxed, calm and have a smoother labour.
All and any! This course is for anyone who wants to feel calm, prepared and informed about birth. I have personally used it for home birth scenarios and caesarean births.

In my power hour sessions we can talk about any of the topics above for an hour. You can book as many or as little as you wish. We can go over your birth plan, talk about induction, work through some fear release, anything you like. This flexible approach to birth prep is great for those who cannot commit to my full course.
